I am in the market for some 92' work.  All the info in this forum is really old.  Any new developments?

As I recall, Steve's Guns is the model 92/Puma expert.

Yeah, really silent here, maybe everyone is out of primers

Nope have thousands of primers just no time lately to load ot post...

I had my extractor break on my M92 454 Casull and being in Canada all I could do was buy new parts and tried to fit them myself but with having very little to do with gunsmithing I am having a few problems and need to get it to a gunsmith to fit properly.

Sorry can't help I'm in a different country and I'm having trouble finding a gunsmith that I can trust or one that isn't so busy that you have to wait almost a year to get aany jobs done.

hey guys

i would like to find a site just for the  load data for the puma 454; since the one i have is a 20" barrel is there other powders out there also one can reload with... Paco Kelly in one article said that one might try Reloader 7 which is a rifle powder, i loaded up two batches both with Hornady 300gr. XTP HP the first batch i loaded with 26gr of H110 using Federal Match Small Rifle Primers  the second Batch is with 29gr. H110 and the same primers... but now thai i realise that the XTP HP might be a tad bit longer than a flat top to compisate for the hollowpoint... It's hard to find load data for the XTP HP, and the load data was for a 300gr. flat top... i have not shot them yet, nor do i plan to until i find some solid info that their not a compressed load

                                                       Thanks

While I love my 16" Puma in .454, my girlfriend has pretty much taken possession of it and calls it hers!  We went to the range and she loved pumping 45LC and light 454 loads through it.  In fact, she said she wanted it for her bedside carbine.  Loaded with Winchester Silvertips, it would certainly take care of any intruders.

Of course, I bought it for a camping gun due to its power and light weight, and I'm sure she'll let me "borrow" it when I need to.  In fact, I liked it so much that I sold my Marlin Guide Gun as it is heavier and holds half the rounds.

I will probably buy a 20" model for myself.

We have had no problems shooting hot loads through it.  A little separation of the front grip and the receiver, but not bad.

Thanks for listening!
